Mission

Leadership Putnam is a personal development program designed to motivate participants to develop and enhance the quality of their leadership in addressing pertinent community needs.

Purpose

To identify potential and exisiting leaders in business, government and the community and to help them prepare for voluntary leadership roles in the community.
To provide these leaders with a practical and sophisticated understanding of major problems and opportunities facing the Putnam County area.
To improve the communications network among leaders from disparate backgrounds and interests.
To create a forum for persons of demonstrated commitment to the community to meet and exchange ideas.
To stimulate increased leadership participation and commitment in the community.

The Organization

A Board of Trustees oversees the operation of Leadership Putnam.  Members of the board are divided into committees that are responsible for the program curriculum, selection, placement, publicity, and finance.

Leadership Putnam is a not-for-profit corporation chartered in the State of Tennessee, exisiting solely on funds derived from tuition, corporate sponsors, and fundraising events.
